Perhaps, and perhaps if I had stretched them. Kept @ 8 Nm. No leaks right now. And frankly, it’s 8 Nm. The one part design does not seem as inherently leaky as the two part.

Bottom line, no apparent jag replacement was in near term view. And I didn’t like any of the ‘sturdier’ alternatives.

That works fine for me, too.

I concur with Jon that it seems overkill in this location. Doubtless the Jaguar metallurgists think differently.

I re-used the originals when I did the job. I didn't RTFM properly, and just torqued them up to the stated 8Nm rather than the JTIS spec of 8Nm +90°.
For me, I generally do this. Less heartache.

Here, a practical issue too. I had to ‘bolt extract’ three of them. There’s also the issue of the stretchy bolts.

OK, in that case, you have no choice, but (wandering further OT here) otherwise what's the issue if you don't try to stretch them more than once?

I personally would think that the risk is small under those circumstances in the exceedingly unlikely event (for me) that I get one of these tiny head bolts off after the last gorilla haphazardly tightened it after the previous gorilla helpfully rounded it off.
