Waterlogged
I drove through a flooded street and the XK8 stalled. I finally got it started and had to pump the accelerator pedal while in drive to get it going. Now the car will only turn-over and start in netural. Also, the engine has a high pitch sound to it when on. Should I be concerned and take it to the dealership or will these issues dry out?
Thanks

RE: Waterlogged
There are so many problems you can or did create, not to mention that sucking a little water into cylinder will hydrolock and engine and easily breaks blocks, rods and pistons. replace the air filter at the very least, and next time you try this at least pop the top of the airfilter housing loose so it doesnt suck water up into the air intake from inside the wheel well were it located at. This would at least give you another foot of water you could go boating in before sucking up water.

brutal, i sense some degree of sarcasm in your post. rs, please avoid doing this again in the future, unless you absolutely MUST cross a river. thankyou for your consideration. If you do get your car 'dried' out, it may never run correctly again...water in engine equal very bad things.
