What is this connector by Battery???
I just changed my battery and this connector was along side the battery. I can't see where it would go or to what it belongs. The second pic shows where it was coming from in the wiring bundle behind the battery along the back wall. (It is the black tube going across the red battery cable in the pic)
Any ideas????

The XK8/XKR wiring diagrams for all years show a transit relay arrangement for delivery purposes. On later models, the redundant wire is a single White/Green one.
Earlier versions were a more complex arrangement having an Transit Relay, a Delay Timer and a mini harness, all of which were removed before handover to the first owner. What's left in the car is not so clear from the diagrams!

Sorry, It is not for the Warp Drive, It is for the rear rockets and the other wire is for the machine guns or the oil slick can't remember which.
What ever you do, don't ground it, then the ejection seat will go off.

Darn, I was going to go online and look for a used warp drive.

The single black Lucar connector AND the large black Econoseal III HC connectors you found at your batteries are both for the Transit Battery Isolation device that were on the cars when they were shipped to dealers. It served to totally disconnect the battery from the vehicle electrics during the trip across the pond. That kept the normal parasitic draw from flattening the battery during transit. They just sit there, never to be used again.

The only things missing were the retractable bullet proof shield in the boot and those tire shredders that came out of the wheel hubs.

I have seen an optional cigarette lighter (aux) socket kit that just requires a hole to be drilled in the right side of the boot and then plugs directly into an existing plug in the battery compartment. One of those connectors must be what the kit connects to. It's not rockets or warp drive, but it could serve some additional function.
However, this leaves the obvious question unanswered: Why would you be smoking in the boot?!
