Default What did you listen to last

What was playing at the end of your last trip.......

One tape or CD only per post please. The general idea is to ignite some old memories and get folks listening , not to incur ridicule..........unless it happens to be 'Liberance plays Vegas' or 'Showaddywaddys greatest hits' then you are on your own and deserve everything you get

Currently, the tape in my XK8 is a tape I made from the CD I owned around '98; Billy Joel, River of Dreams.

Well, since I use my iPhone's bluetooth streaming for the music in my car, the last thing according to that seems to have been The Day That Never Comes by Metallica.

Well, ever since I did my aftermarket stereo, 3 of my CDs have been trapped in the original trunk CD changer. I believe the last album I listened to before I switched to bluetooth was Deep Purple- Machine Head. The things I would do to retrieve that CD....

Just looked on my phone (bluetooth last time I was in the car), hoping it was something by Burl Ives since I had just heard 'Blue Tailed Fly' this weekend.

Was actually 'Bang a Gong' sung by Jakob Dylan ripped from a JC Penney's ad, long ago. Best version since T Rex.

Last road trip was a couple of weeks ago up and back from LA to Berkeley. Drove home in pouring rain. Last album played was Revelator by The Tedeschi Trucks Band. Spiritual heirs to The Allman brothers band.

Ok, you have opened a can of worms here. Besides my motorcycles and cars, there isn't much I love more than music. Lots of it, lots of different types to suit the mood.
Being a child of the 60's & 70's there's lots of classic rock, album cuts and such. So I'm all in with the mentioned Deep Purple (Highway Star - 8 cylinders and everything) ZZ Topp (just read Guitars and Hot Rods by Billy Gibbons) Bill Joel (met him at his shop a few years ago) and Tedeschi/Trucks are great but try Allman Betts Band for a true desendents of the Allman Brothers Band. (Duane Betts named after Gregg Allaman's brother and son of Dicky Betts and Devon Allman Gregg's oldest son).

But to answer the question: Jimmy Buffet on cassette to get in the right frame of mind for my upcoming trip the Outer Banks, North Carolina. TM

WHAT? Crazy talk! This is almost less than a decade old (sure, I know, Revelator is less old, but sounds much more old)...
