I can't quite recall but I did manage to touch the top of the pump I'm sure to feel if it was running. If my pump was broken (and thankfully it wasn't) I was going to do what that guy in the link did. I thought removing the pump from the top was very hard and I don't have access to a lift.
I can get it up but the weather is against me and I have an owner from Texas on his way to see me so want to drive the car to investigate the grinding from the torque converter area.
Bad news: About three weeks ago, I washed the car, polished the hood and snoot in preparation for ceramic coating the hood/snoot that had to be repainted in the fall after a surprise encounter with an itinerant box spring at high speed on the interstate.
Good news: All six of us in the house are now over COVID, and the two hour job was completed this evening. Hooray.

I finally got a little spare time and installed my new radiator that was sitting in my garage for the last 6 months. Lol the car would only leak antifreeze on start up, about an once or 2 and stop, and sometimes it would not leak, hence why I procrastinated for so long. Lol install was pretty straight forward only had issues separating passenger side condenser was way easier to install the new one then take the old one out. Was about 2 or 3 hours total. Hooray Old 23 year old radiator, hope the new ones lasts at least half that time.

Did some cleaning. Removed the old stinky sponge under the rear seat and replaced it with some new materials.
Also, did some color restoration job.... seat belt buckle.
FWIW, the parts store generally carries an assortment box of coolant plugs suitable to cap this bleed nipple. I had a home-made contraption like that for a while and it eventually started leaking. Because of course it did.

I actually work at a hardware store Lol. The plug is a aqua pex plug for 1/2 pex line. It was the best solution I could come up with that we had. I will keep an eye on it now that you mention it though.
Working with brittle cupholder hinge second time. First fix lasted two year. Now 'final metal solution'. Incredible brittle plastic; like flour after 20yrs.
Soldered piece of nickel/copper tube to 1mm metal sheet as a new hinge point.
Then epoxied it into cupholder. Now holder will last here and cupholder will break some other point
