Nearly two years ago I had to replace both front Hydra wheels on my coupe because they both leaked, and were difficult to balance. After having them removed it was discovered that they had been cracked and "repaired" a few times. The solders were badly done. Now they've been taking up space in my garage ever since and I want to get rid of them.
From the pictures you will see that these wheels have some severe curb rash, one of them has 4 welds and the other has two. I don't know if they could be fixed up to be used, except maybe as a full size spare.
What's the best option I've got to make some money off of them? At the moment they seem useless to me. Should I scrap them? Take them to a recycling center? List them on craigslist? I don't even know how much I could ask for them. Maybe someone could want to use them to make a coffee table? Selling them to the mainland seems like a bad deal to me for both the buyer and myself. Shipping is likely to be more expensive than the value of the two wheels.

I've seen much worse kerb rash than that refurbished successfully but I'd have scrapped them simply for the welding repairs. Straightening an alloy is one thing but splits crosses the boundary of safety for me.
I have a friend who picked up wayward hubcaps from the street (Boston area is full of them), painted them copper, and hung them on her living room wall. Looked pretty cool, similar to the clock idea.
