My Apollo Wheel Restoration
I was able to get a touch up pen from Jaguar for my 2011 Aleution wheels. I never looked for paint to match my Apollos but it probably existed at some time.
BTW I still have the original full set of Apollos I removed from my 2004. Probably should sell them now that the XK8 is long gone.

My Brembos are silver with jaguar written on them. I like the green though, would look nice on my jaguar racing green car!

I'm with you Jay, but I think Rothwell IS a professional. Wow those look great !! When I curbed my right sides I took them to a local Pro and they did a great job.
The OP Cunuck is from Car crazy Atlanta, I'm sure there are repair places there to help him out. If he does want to do the job himself. But he could. TM

Hi Owen
What you see are actually just cheap ABS covers I attached to my standard calipers. I painted them green (to match the wheel centre caps and nose badge), applied Jaguar logo decals, and clear coated them. I opted for covers rather than painting the calipers due to my concerns about surface prep and caliper high temps. I left a small air gap between the calipers and covers to dissipate heat. Seems to have done the trick as the covers still look OK, in my opinion anyway, after almost five years on the car.
BTW, Owen, the XKR overriders you sent me worked out great. Much appreciated. Thanks again!
Cheers
Bill

I have a similar conundrum. My bbs Montreal’s off my 05 xkr are getting a professional refurb next month (new valves, outer bands and inner alloy paint) however in the past someone has badly restored them and painted the middles a different shade. Now I have no reference to ask the garage to paint them to. So any one who does have any idea where to find a colour reference then I’m all ears

Norfolkrob,
Somebody just told me the name of the paint colour is "Jaguar Sparkle Silver". I'm researching that.
Also, here's a link to a posting that might provide some clues: https://www.jaguarforum.com/threads/...-colour.95810/ I hope this is helpful.

I have known about this for quite a while, but I don't know the reason why? I really like the Apollo's and would gladly take them off of your hands, but I do have Brembo's, and I like those more, especially now that I have Redstuff pads.

Well here's what I did with my Apollos and the results were very good. Had rash on three of my wheels (one got away) and decided to try getting the rash out myself before getting them redone by a shop.
OK so I read somewhere on this site about DupliColor Ultra Silver Metallic BGM0508 being a very close match to the Apollos (probably others).
Lightly filed then sanded starting with 150 grit finishing with 500 grit using a orbital sander and by hand. After I was done other then the color difference they looked very good.
Didn't want to spray wheels just wanted to make my repair blend. I sprayed the DupliColor into a small cap and added a small amount of lacquer thinner. To apply it used a medium sized blending artists brush which holds a good amount of paint. The goal is lay on a even layer of paint in one pass to the outermost flat side of the rim. Let them dry and you would have a hard time seeing the repair if you didn't know about it.
I used no primer or any other coating just the paint and lacquer thinner.
That was two years ago and they still look great. No peeling, color change, etc... It worked for me and saved me some money for once.
