Wheel Steer Question, For the Experts
I have a 97 Conv. and I am getting wheel steer when I'm driving. This something that never use to happen. The car would go over rutted roads like they were'nt even there. Now I feel like the car is squirly unless I'm on a smooth road. Steering feels pretty tight. But car noisey and rough on bad roads.
I Have about 130K
Upper and lower Control arms were replaced about 1.5yrs ago.
Checked the upper control arms bushings and it look like they need
to be replaced already(torque speck in book says 60-80Nm but when I tighten them that, there is play in steering so tightened to 110Nm).
Never did anything with front sway bar.
Any Ideas on what to check/replace next, or what could be causing this?
Thanks for any help.

only time my car wanted to 'move' around unpredictably, was when one of my lower control arm bushings was bleeding...literally, squeezed it to death. If you got new control arms, I think they come with all the new rubber, so that can't be it.
If thats the case, I'd double fred's recommendation...tie rod.

Thanks guy's, looks like it was the upper bushings. Tie rods are fine but the upper control arms bushings are shot. Can't believe it, I bought new assemblies from Jaguar. Removed the arms and a bunch of rust came out. I make machinery for a living and the rubber on the bushings was OK so I made new parts out of SS and reassembled them. Man those bushings are cheap construction. I also checked the sway bar and it looks like they can use some new rubber. I'll check the lowers to see if they're to tight.
Thanks again for all the help
