I was out shopping yesterday with the top down and no bundling required.

Just thought I'd mention that.

Tommy,

Lucky you!

We've had the winter clothing on and the XK heater ramped up to 70 deg F today in Saumur, France.

Today, the day after Christmas, it was nice and sunny and going to be in the high 60s (F that is). So I thought I'd take the ole Jag XJ6 on a nice country drive over to my airplane hangar and do a little fiddling around. When I got there, where the XK8 is store along with the EZ, I thought I'd just take a little top down ride around the country side to exercise the little convert. Also had to stop at Dary Queen for a little hot fudge sunday. And I did need the heater as I was driving with out my coat on. Great day for a short drive and a little fiddling around on the toy with wings. Took a couple of pictures of the toys and will try to post them. Sorry the weather is so great here in East Texas. But, that is just the way it is.

EZDriver,
Love that color. Today, I had to drive from Los Angeles about an hour south to Huntington Beach. And while I have the top down in any weather that isn't rain, it was nearly 90F in the L.A. basin today, I actually contemplated putting the top up to get more efficient use of the AC, but it was just too beautiful not to take advantage of a Christmas heat wave.

Happy New Year to all.

Great curves and scenery is beautiful. Lots of waterfalls and places to park and enjoy. Cashiers and Highlands are really nice places to overnight along the way. Very upscale and good restaurants. Lake Toxaway too! Whether on the motorcycle or in the Jag, it's my favorite part of the state.
Merry Christmas,

Although I have not done that trip in the Jag yet, I agree that Cashiers and Highlands is a great overnight trip... maybe Fall 2014.

We do that trip a couple of times a year. Stay at B&B in Brevard, centrally located if you enjoy hunting for waterfall. Jim

Might be fun to set up a Jag luncheon next summer. A lot of cars from a few states are equal distance. Maybe Cornucopia in Cashiers. Great restaurant!

Default support group needed

Where today? Nowhere. Not for several weeks, and not for a few more months!

It's winter here in NE Wisconsin, and my Jag is stuck in the garage... And it's driving me absolutely nuts!! I've got new wheels and tires ready to be put on, and as soon as that happens I'm not sure how long I can really go without taking it out on the snow/salt covered roads.

How does everyone else deal with not driving their XKR through the winter?? I think I need a support group.

Try detailling the car for therapy, it does work (for a while)

Keep the spirit up, we're halfway now!

It's been in the -10s or lower here in MN for quite a while too and painful to not be able to drive the Jag. I like my Jeep Cherokee, but it isn't in the same league. Maybe I will snap a pic of her winter hibernation.

mjohn337,
You need to take a long drive to either southern California or southern Florida.
It's been in the 80's for the past week and a half or so in Los Angeles, I haven't even put my top up in more than 2 weeks, and was forced to use the AC when the temperature nudged up close to 90F a couple of days ago. We've got an extra room....

Drove to the Roar Before the Rolex 24 practice last weekend and saw the Delta Wing car, Aston Martins, Lemans prototypes, etc. Pictures are on my phone and will post if I can. Today was to Ponce Inlet, FL, where I passed a XK120 or 150 heading the other way. Hearty waves to each other; nice end to the day as the fog lifted and the sun came out.

Our club, the San Diego Jaguar Club had a great event today. Since it was a typical Southern California winter day, 75 degrees and clear blue sky, we had 36 jags and 63 members meet at the Deer Park Winery and Auto Museum in Escondido. Just coming back from being closed for a while, the close to 100 primarily American cars, all converts, with a lot of assorted Americana, was truly a hidden gem. After touring the museum, we had a very nice drive up to Temecula to the beautiful restaurant next to the Pechanga casino golf course. We took our 2001 XKR Coupe and had a wonderful time. How can you beat a beautiful day and nice country roads in an XKR...
