I thought I would share a picture of the parking lot where I work at the weekend. I have a new business photographing all comers to Glendora Mountain Road (the road on which you say the Ferrari 430 Spyder following me) and selling them. Unfortunately no pics of Jaguars in motion yet (since the only one that drives there is mine and ... well you get the idea).
www.gmrrunners.com is the site and I've got some fun pics of other vehicles including, most recently, a McLaren MP4.
But back to the car park (ah the Brit in me comes out at last) ...

So far I've had one Jeep driver ask me to delete the picture and one bicycle who insists on flipping me off every time (4 times so far). None of the Harley riders have ever complained - even though one of them rode off the road having spent too much time posing for the camera! I'm glad to say that no bikers or other small fury animals were hurt in the taking of that picture.

Just got back from a road trip to my old stomping grounds, New Orleans. My gf got a bit of sun on the way down since she ignored the suggestion to apply a bit of sunscreen. The top-down drive up St. Charles and Magazine was epic. And great fun was had when driving back down Bourbon Street to our hotel in the Quarter and watching all the heads turn and point at the gorgeous XKR. Heck, I feel the same way about her. She still turns my head. The valet (Mike, what a great guy) at the Dauphine Orleans parked her right up front - easy in, easy out.
Had dinner on Tuesday night at Bayona, Susan Spicer's joint in the Quarter which was across the street from our hotel. Great food, but my gf took one look at the menu and laughed, "All these things on the menu are things I used to shoot in my back yard. Duck, quail, rabbit. We ate it because we were too poor for anything else, and they are charging $30 a plate for it." Jokes aside, it was pretty darn good.
Another great trip in the bag with the XKR.

Had a ride out to Binham Priory, (Norfolk UK) what a beautiful place. The Priory was built in 1095 and about half of the main Priory is still in use, the rest is just ruins. Wanted to get a pic of the XK with the Priory in the back-ground....forgot the camera...duuuuh ... next time Worth a look on the website. Oh and I can recommend the Chequers Pub!

Here are the details:
Meet at the Starbucks on Route 66 and Lone Hill in Glendora at 6:00 AM on May 18, 2013.
Leave Starbucks by 6:30 and head up the hill (Camera guy will go ahead by 5 minutes to take piccies)
Pause at East Fork to let cars cool down and Camera guy (that would be me) catch up (prolly short pause since I don't drive too slowly)
Head down the East Fork and back on Route 38 to Asuza Canyon. Return along either Route 66 or I-210 to Donutman to join festivities there by 7:30
We end up back at Donutman on Route 66 in Glendora for truly epic donuts and the main event of the day - a large group of BMWs (mostly M5s) heading to Bimmerfest. Not driving a BMW and all I won't be going to Bimmerfest :-) I drive with some of these guys on a regular basis and can confirm that they are a fun group (also safe and capable drivers).
My 2006 XKR may be giving away 100 hp to the M5s but I can still leave all but the tuned ones behind!
