This is what Bruce Wayne really wanted. Running the streets of Gotham at night in this beauty would have been awesome.

Almost a mirror finish. Bet it looks even better in person.

Well, that's the rub! There were a couple places the polish didn't erase. He doesn't wet sand so when I get my front fenders painted this fall, I'll have the body shop wet sand out every faint scratch.
I actually stopped by my body shop to pick up my painted rear black plinth (that fish eyed!)
And he said he can erase every little thing my detail guy couldn't and then one more detail, and its perfect!
All things considered, it looks amazing!! Not a swirl! I just wish my front fenders weren't starting to craze!! But he used a black polish and they are very hard to see.

Just one of the owners exotic cars. It's amazing how much this 2001 Ferrari maranello looks like the xk8 coupe! Especially the rear!! I'm going back next week to get my dents taken care of and were going to photograph my cat in his empty hanger! He wants to put my XK8 beside his white Ferrari !!
Bring it!!

Tomorrows project is getting that bloody tint off the fog lights! (Its a film, not paint!) And the adamesh clear side markers are on the way!! (Looked for smoke but none to be found)
Goes to wheel guy in two weeks for the hyper silver finish on the rims.

Hickory NC.
Oh, and the owner, that owns the hanger and car collection, used to collect lotus cars. It kills me to see his former lotus photos all over!!
I'm still trying to buy my brothers 1960 lotus elite!! Before it rots!! Yes, there are tears in my eyes!!

Another bit of useful info from my detail shop. I wanted to have my front bolster re finished, and they do it, but he actually said he didn't recommend it unless I'm selling the car. He's restored many exotics and gave up the re dying and other methods due their basically temporary results. Yes, they look flawless for a couple months, but once the leather has been stressed, it will always return. He said I'm better off using simple black shoe polish liquid and do the whole bolster. It lasts a while and easily kept up.

It is so black the tires look a bit grey. How do you guys with black cars overcome that?

Just found in the mail my jaguar lettering!! I really love it with the leaper on the boot. Also got my newer XK letters. I wish I could find a 4.0 for the other side!!
And remember, I lost the lady limps on the bonnet so give me this!! Lol

I am wondering if the jaguar is too close to the letters. It's actually in the exact location as an F type.

Love what you've done. Where did you get the trunk lettering and leaper?

Can we see it from less of an angle? What does it look like looking down on it?

Phil - love the leaper and lettering on the trunk! Yeah 3.5 hrs isn't a bad drive. Wish I had known about the British car show before I set up our Jag clubs next gathering for the same day .

FYI the Capital City Classic Concourse will be in Columbia SC - Oct 11-13

Got the lettering from ebay motors uk. It was like 20.00! Factory oem from a 2013 xj. (Dealer wanted like 95.00) And the leaper came from the back of my XF.

I have to say my car is SHINY!! Hey, you can also see my painted headliner I did with fabric spray! It looks even better in person.
I'm also giving up my idea of side vents too. I may order the chrome rings for the small side markers and possibly paint black. I wish there was an elegant small jaguar badge like the chrome strip in the side vents on my XF. The small clear markers look cheap IMO. Maybe the trim ring will help.
