Why do you like your XK ! :-)
It was between an xk and a boxter S. I had a drive in my friends boxter S, it was solid and great fun and I almost bought one! but i'm sooooo glad I saw this orange xk( I honestly don't care if you don't like the colour, deal with it! )
I had a customers boxter at my workshop today and I parked it next to the Jag......The Jag wins hands down
It is such an amazing car! great to drive, has the classic timeless look and so many people have commented on how gorgeous it looks!
I bloody love it! :-)

For me the XK8/R (X100 series) is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. It's a descendent of one of the most beautiful cars ever made, the XKE or E-Type. I'm not saying I wouldn't accept an XJ220 if someone gave me one but for those of us living in the real world, the XK8/R is a classic Jaguar with beautiful lines and a grace which only a Jaguar can possess.

Stopped New River Jag in Hilton Head on the return leg from Key West to purchase a coil. They had a 2005 xk/r, 2008 Xk on the sales lot. Took the F for a little spin and the parked it next to the used xk8/r and the Xk. I wish I had taken a picture. The xk8 may not have the horse power of newer models, but she has the lines and flow of a beuatiful woman!! Jim

I don't find the XK8 particularly thrilling to drive but It's more of a Touring car than Sports car.
To me, the lines of the car are not equaled. I think it's the best looking car on the road. At 6'1 200lbs I am VERY comfortable in the car. Combine that with the beautiful interior that smells like only a Jaguar, quietness for a convertible, smoothness of the engine and ride. Exceptional handling and descent mileage at high speed wraps it up. Did I mention that it's good looking?
I can't believe that one can get so much car for so little. I plan to keep mine forever, no matter what other cars I might own in the future.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I want to keep mine as long as possible unless I upgrade to an XKR. On the other hand, I hope EVs, such as the Tesla Model S never make it to my little island. IF they do, during my lifetime, I can see the Jag sitting in the garage and that does not make me happy.

I love the "exclusivity" of the Jaguar XK8 convertible; in Hong Kong, there are so many Lamborghinis and Ferraris and Maseratis and Aston Martins that you run into while driving around in the city streets, but you can hardly run into another Jag XK8 in a month's driving... It is indeed a rare cat which attracts so much attention anywhere. I'm loving it...

Jaguar is not everywhere, and they don't do much of any marketing to make it aware to the public. Also the general public cant afford it or pay to have it fixed.
These cars are only meant for middle upper class and upper class+folks.

Point taken sir, but now they are in the area where regular folk with basic mechanical skill can afford them. Which is what I like, an uncommon car with great styling and performance for the price of a Honda.
