window doesn't raise
hi guys here's what happens to my driver window. The glass doesn't rise anymore, it got stuck open. It has already happened to me once and I solved it by disconnecting and reattaching the battery. Now it doesn't rise anymore. I left the battery disconnected for an hour but nothing has changed. When I press the switch to lower or raise the glass I hear the classic click of the relay but nothing happens. I noticed that now if I try to close the car with the remote control, a very strange thing happens. I see the inside handle of the passenger door close and open several times while that of the driver remains stationary and after a while the alarm sounds and all the indicators flash. at this point I need to press the unlock button on the remote control to stop the alarm. Where can I start the investigation?

KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM THE "X". It moves quickly and doesn't stop for fingers!

this morning I disconnected the Drivers Door Switch Pack and sprayed the contacts with deoxidizer spray. The problem already present before remains, i.e. it is impossible to lower the passenger window from the driver switch. But the most serious problems have been solved, now the window is raised and lowered normally and the central locking works correctly. I therefore suspect a defect in the Drivers Door Switch Pack that I would like to find used to replace it. (new costs too much) The part number should be LJA6332AG. That way I should go back to lowering the passenger window from my switch as well.

No, the microswitches are inside the door lock/latch assembly, which is inside the door frame. There are multiple posts and videos on this forum that instruct you how to do this repair. Just search using "XK8 door latch assembly microswitch replacement" as your search phrase and you will have plenty to read....

Jacco,
Be careful, you don't know what a can of worms you are opening my friend.
1. Inside the pictured switch from drivers door:
Circuit board.
Flexible switch contact pad (carbon pads make contact with circuit board when switch pressed)
U shaped plastic floating piece that sits under left right selector
Plastic cross shaped balanced and floating piece that rides on the left right up down paddle to press the desired selection on the flexible pad.
Its a real PITA to reassemble! You won't be able to photo the position or orientation of the plastic paddles - they will move and or fall out when you pop the bottom off the unit.
If you plan to open it, I invite you to ask me for photos. Without them it'll be like a rubics cube! Solvable? Sure, but not self evident.
File this away: when reassembling follow Jaguars lead. Use dabs of grease to hole the untethered vertical plastic pieces in position.

oh my god
I believe that now the problem is only inside the switch pack and that the contact for the lowering of the passenger window is faulty. But the passenger can lower the window with his switch if he wishes. I think I will opt to leave the situation unchanged avoiding the costs of a new pack and the scary experience described by John

Graham, thanks for posting this. When I was trying to fix mine after breaking off the paddle, I bought a used one . Used one didn't work at all. Upon opening both, I found the circuit boards were a slightly different layout. Since I didn't remember which way the u shaped plastic piece was positioned for reassembly, I couldn't help but wonder if there were 2 switches sold. One for fold back mirrors, one for rest of us.
Looks like, nope - just 1 model.
Strange stuff regarding the price you found. Many places selling new replacements in USA list for 2 or 3 times that price. Like you said, used prices are not much cheaper. I did find a place in Connecticut to buy one at $80 all in.
OP, I should get it this week. If it works I'll have one sitting on my bench where window switches work perfectly, not mirror. If you want to borrow it to test your finding I can lend it to you.
