Default Window Gap

I noticed that there is a small gap on the passenger side windows between the quarter window and the main window (see attached photos). The gap is not in-plane but rather out-of-plane. The quarter window looks too far in towards the interior of the car (or the main window is out too much) resulting in the small gap.

I have seen some posts on how to adjust windows but it is not clear to me if, for my situation, I need to adjust the main window, the quarter window, or both. From the JTIS and treads I have seen the quarter window adjustment is a pain in terms of needing to remove the interior quarter panel. Once that is removed the adjustment looks pretty straightforward.

Any opinions on exactly what needs to be adjusted?

Thanks,

Doug

I think that was for the front window adjustment. Actually, I just tweaked around with the quarter window by physically pulling it a bit and it seems to seal better now which makes me think that the adjustment that needs to be done is at the quarter window and not the front (or it might still be a combination of both). However, physically tweaking the window has mostly solved the problem without needing to tear into things.

Doug,

The rear quarter window does have a few adjustments to it. Do you have Alldata? It covers the adjustments.

Hi Gus.

I don't have AllData but do have the JTIS. It looks like to get to the quarter window adjustments you have to remove back seats and the quarter trim panel (removing that is not covered in the JTIS). The gap is not so bad that I want to go through the hassle.

When you elect to do it let me know and I will get the info you need to you. The removal of the rear seat and speaker is on my page with the roof hose replacement if you want to take a look. It is a simple process.
