Someone needs to put this car out of it's misery, and that of anyone in the near vicinity. A case of someone whose taste is all in their mouth. If I had the money I would buy it just to get it off the road.
LOL, so many with their panties in a bunch about the "Shaguar". Just playing, don't take offence. That car is a 2001 copycat of the Tom Cruise driven 2002 XK8 from the Austin Powers Goldmember movie. Its owned but Nate Truman of Star Cars Central as one of the movie memorabilia cars anyone can rent, here in Hollywood CA. I believe the original is still owned by Sam Pack of Sam Pack Ford Auto Group in Texas, in his personal museum.. He bought it from a Texas collector who won it on auction for like $85,500. Truman may have been bidding for the car, along with Pack. But Truman made this copy, for his rental biz. At least its a XK8 that is maintained, and out and driven. Here in LA there are surprisingly very few of these cars.I get asked constantly "What is that?" It gets more attention than my friend's Aston Martin.
Tell me the secret of the shine.....I spend a weekend with Mother's new Clay Bar #2, Griot's Spay-on Car Wash and a Bottle of Top Coat F-11 and I didn't even get close to that Beautiful Shine! Tell the truth, did you do that or did you have it done? It is spectacular! and I thought I had done something......Wow! That's great.....

These were the pix that caused me to fall in love with this car. Now it's had about $10,000 worth of new parts, replacements, repairs and services.
New top being installed plus new seat covers and visor coverings and console top. I can't wait to see it look as good as its press photos. :-)
J Cat nice work - were the front upper shock mounts included in the 10K in parts/work done? looking at the pics, they are disintegrating and the front looks like it's sagging.
Now THAT is a keen eye! I had the brakes and rotors all replaced, plus a wheel bearing, two rear axels, a tie rod end and the radiator.
Then I added a bluetooth radio, and had the transmission serviced for about $750. Now it's getting around $4000 worth of top, seats, etc.
Whew! I will now have them check the front upper shock mounts too. Thanks.
I don't think its an easy "like/not like" question.
The shaguar was created to be garishly over the top and get a laugh. And that it does.
Would I pose with it for a pic? Yes.
Would I ride in it? Yes.
Would I want it in my garage? Yes - but only if it was the original one that had collectible value.
Would I want it to be my daily driver? Not even for one day.
It's just a great bit of fun, never meant to be taken seriously, but it gets great reactions from most people, my wife looks for any excuse to drive it, even the supermarket! Does encourage the boy racers at traffic lights, then leaves them in the dust.
