You will get plenty of help from this forum. I started with a $13,000, Maple dash, Nav display, ebony car. Now, $20K later, I have a walnut dash, 3 Real Gauge display, 'Bronze Ebony' exterior. Adding mesh grill, and a few other items. Still, a spectacular car. Mechanic are great in spite of 92K miles.

Sam, I am thinking of that mesh grill myself. How much research have you done on it? Have you decided on a style, brand or supplier? Do they make a black stainless steel one?
Black, Yes. I purchased off eBay. Several are listed. Check them out, but be sure what you order. I ordered only the lower screen in black. Received the upper in S.S. Contacted seller. He stated that I got what I ordered. Went back and found that there was no description, only pix, with "black available" note. No place to select. He did send me a lower, Blk screen, and did not request the upper back. I painted it Blk, and will install it tomorrow.

Please post some pics when you are done. I can't wait to see it! Does it require removing the bumper?
Hi all. I've spent the last day scrolling through all your beautiful pictures. I thought I'd better contribute some of my own.
I am lucky to have 3 toys to play with: 2015 XJL, 2007 Kawasaki ZX10R and the 2003 XKR:
Here's a couple of the XKR on its own:
And, just for Billy, I recently replaced the orange indicators and side markers and got the Montreal wheels refurbished:

Didn't know that Kawasaki ZX10R came in a right hand drive!
Just got the grills installed. For the top grill to look right, the bumper mounts and bumper bar. This allows the grill to be inset 1/2-3/4". Now I must be careful
driving so as not to 'bump' anyone.
Will get some better pix tomorrow.
Wow Sam! Looks like you finally got off of your Bum and replaced the Grill! Now don't you think it looks a bunch better?
and look at those Montreal's on Larry's 2003 XKR! Honestly now! don't you think the 2003XKR looks alot better with the Clear Marker and Blinker lights!

You've done a good job with the new Paint Job! It really looks great....but what happened to the Back Seats? Seriously Sam, you have really made a Beautiful Car look even better by adding your own ideas and changing things the way you wanted them!
It's a Beauty! and to think...I've got it's old Steering Wheel..............never have done anything with it YET!
In another thread I discussed and designed a replacement for the totally useless rear seat. I used ideas from another member, and added a few of my own. Then the upholstery guy carried it even farther. We used a pair of speakers that I had gotten and not used, added a couple of deck lids with locking catches, and then he added a 'Leaper' and Jag logo. I think it came out pretty good. Now I have an extra back seat taking up space in my attic that I will likely never use. Need to get rid of it.
Hi Sam, that’s a beautiful car, and I love the rear seat delete. I noticed you have a rear windscreen/ deflector. Is that a stock item or did you fab it too?

No, I wish I had made it my self. Quality is good, but little else. I bought it from dealer on eBay(do not remember which, as I had it for about 3 months before installing). It came with no instructions or return telephone #.
While it is not overly complicated, a few directions for best placement, or connections would have been helpful.
I love your XK8's! I think the New Grill looks great in the Main grill but I prefer the Bottom Grill Open with the Daytime Running Lights! I used Philip's 8 Bulb Lights to start with but when Osram came out with the new one piece Lens I had to trade them out.....I hope you Guys like them down there!

I like the looks of the rectangular lights, and location. I wanted some protection from flying rocks entering the lower opening, so that is my reason for opting for the lower. Mesh.
I have modified my lights(thanks to a previous thread) to come on and act as 'Running lights'. Also have the blinkers working in sequence in the rear for better protection from some of our 98yrs + drivers here in S.W. Fla.
