The 2003 XKR doesn't have a lower grille, so I don't have anywhere to mount DRLs. I did think about some round ones behind the main grille, but I'm not sure how it would look

There is a thread here on the forum that explains the process for converting front 'parking lights' to act as DTRL's. Very simple, just use a jumper wire to connect 2 relays in the CB box under the hood. So simple, even I could do it without burning up anything.

Thank you guys, I'm smitten :-) funny though, on following the shock mount thread with Wayne and company and now I'm looking for the elusive BBS wheel toolkit as it didn't come with the car; I can't even check the tire pressure:-/. Now I'm trolling through threads to find out whether or not I can find this wheel toolkit. 28,500 miles on the engine and drivetrain and I give it a solid 9.5/10 on the interior :-)

I have the grill on my '06. Had to remove the cross bumper to fit correctly. Got it from eBay. Wanted blk, they sent chrome. I painted the upper.

Here's my latest snaps of my early XK8. One from the Keighly and Worth Valley's Ingrow Station and the other at Salts Mill, Saltaire, West Yorkshire.

Thanks Robert. I find that photographing my XK8 satisfies two of my passions - trying to create striking photographic images and my love for the classic lines of Jaguar cars (pre current generation, that is).

Not sure if you follow John Dee's 'To The Garage' channel on YouTube, but I strongly recommend it. Also, if you like the images, please can I ask you to vote in the competition (if one of my images is shortlisted) later in the year?

Thanks again :-)

Fantastic photo's.
Trouble is with that much "tampering" it could be anything in the flesh, may not be red or may not even be an X100

Thanks Sam, that's really good of you. No links yet as the entries are still open. For anyone else interested in taking part, send your best image to john@tothegarage.co.uk before midnight on 30th June. My car is one of the earliest examples (Nov '96) in Carnival Red.

I'll post again if I get shortlisted and ask for support of other members if they like the pic.

Take care,
Gerard
