My 2004 coupe is almost identical to PascalR's. Same color, same wheels and brakes - but my door handles are chrome ... and the background of my photo is not as impressive

Mine is a 2003 with recaro interior, brembo brakes with ventilated discs.

To Skeena River Rover: XKR are all fitted with CATS.

I would say...We are triplet; 70K, Recaro, sport suspension, brembo (not ventilated..) "R" logo on center caps wheels.... and same kind of background sort of... France sea side

Merry Christmas

Where on the west coast of France were these photos taken? In my former life I flew over this area frequently on the way back to the US.

Hi Pat,

it is situated in south west of britany, in Gavres, just in front of Lorient.
Lorient is a military port, trade port, fishing port and marina.
This is where I spent my former life, and I bought my first american car: A mercury cougar 351 clevland 1970. I miss it... I was 22.
Then I had a chevy caprice '66, formula 400 '72, transam '77 and a couple of cadillac, finaly, I dropped in the other side of the force... ... Jaguar.

Here is the location where I took the photos on the grass:

Best regards from france

Pascal.

Hi Pascal,

This is a beautiful part of the world. I've flown over it many times and looked out the cockpit window and wondered what was down there. Now I know - it's Pascal and his Jaguar !

Pat,
If you like this area, here are some pics I took during this journey... the weather was not with us every day but .... it was fine what ever!

Port-Louis seen from Gravres

This is the door of the citadèle (castle) made by Vauban, a famous architect
(1603 / 1707) well known for his knowledge of fortress construction.

Concarneau

Locronan
This small town is famous for cinema (knights scenes ) because there are no antennas, cables, etc....

Doors are typical...

Small port at Locmalo (port-Louis)

Great pictures! What is your opinion the best part of France to visit? Not talking about tourist spots like Paris or Cote d'Azure but historical spots like old Medieval towns etc or Nice scenery.

Cheers From Canada

Thanks....I just went through all 38 pages.. I just love the way the XK has similarities to the XKE from the front as I love the same in my S-Type to the 60s S-Types. The new Jags don't appeal to me much.

I would suggest for exemple: Aquitaine, which is a nice area for old stones (like the background you saw alongside my XKR in the first photo)
Bergerac is a very nice town and there are a lot of castles around, especially one (Marmande Castle) which belonged to Josephine Backer in the past.
There are a lot of caves from early time.
You can find excellent red and white wine... like Bergerac, Monbazillac, pécharmant

Bannes castle at one mile from where i spend my summer holidays (Beaumont)

This is where I spend my summer holidays

Some draws I made in the past...

Normandie ... very nice area.

Nantes castle (britany)
During a journey with XJS's friends when I owned a V12 XJS

In south ouest of Paris's suburb, at more or less 10 miles from where I live.

There are plenty of stunning areas in France.
Tell me when you come to France, I will give you some suggestions and why not having a drink ....
