I just came back from the car audio shop and changing out the stereo is far more trouble than it's worth. I'm gonna get a transmitter wired into the stereo and a USB dock installed.
ac - Before you decide to spend money going that route, come on over my house and have a listen to my car stereo...
I got free from a job 2 years ago with online business.. So I use the XK8 in some of my videos and I put 2BE FREE on the license plate for it as well.. The Jaguar license cover looks nice on the Jag..
This is an older Project car. 6 speed 96 SS Camaro 383 Stroker conversion.. She still gets a lot of attention.. The Xk8 and this park in front of the house look good together actually.. : 0)
I am looking for a billet grill NOT Mesh.. About 5 Prong would be nice.. I may have to make one for it.. But that is the plan.. Aluminum light housing around the fog lights also in the works.. Was thinking Arden body kit but to be honest.. it looks pretty good like it is..
Both Cars together.. I was installing a new DVD player into the SS. Still a nice ride 21 years later.. Sounds incredible.
I would like to get a billet grille close to this one on the XK8 or even a tubed grilled might would be nice..

Yeh, The camaro has been with me now for a long long time.. In my mind I already made the car look like I wanted it before I even bought the camaro.. I wanted T Tops, and 6 Speed.. Well this one a lady had owned and was flawless with 30K miles on it when I bought it.. The top was painted green where the T Tops go.. I wanted the two tone with the Black top.. Always looked better to me with the camaros. And we mixed the paint to our own liking for the rest of the car. Deep Hunter Metallica green.. Wet sanded and buffed down she is pretty slick actually.. It's time for another paint job though, been about 11 years since the last one..
The Jaguar, I really wanted 19 chrome rims, Arden body kit and I am still thinking about a 4 or 5 prong Billet grille.. Sort of set it apart from any others this way.. The way I did with the Camaro and the SS emblem I put in the grill itself as well.. No one has that either.. But so many people say the car looks great like it is.. It is never found around here where I live.. I have seen like 3 since I bought it last Sept. Most don't even know what it is.. It is one of those cars that the pictures I take of it makes it look like a normal XK8 at somewhere like here.. Just a really good in shape one.. Like the pictures above show.. But modded tastefully it would look incredible in the pictures I am sure.. But to see it coming down the road.. Might wouldn't make really that big of a difference..
I've gotten use to the rims now.. I actually like them in person better than I did in pictures.. And so many say that if you mod this or that it will take away from the car.. I don't know.. How I mod it is always a clean factory looking job.. So I think I am going to drive it around like it is for a little bit longer before I tear into modding it.. But it will probably have it's day.. : 0)
Screams perfection!
Are those original headlights, or are they tinted? And about the from mesh?
David7, The 2005 Jaguar XKR, such as Pretty BlueFin's, came with these Headlights and the Bulging Mesh Grill... The outside portion of the Headlight, where the Low Beam and High Beam lights are, is painted Black....Also, the 2005 - 2006's have a different Nose-Piece/Bumper than the other Models. It has the big Opening with the Mesh Grill and another opening down below, which I think make these cars unique....I have mounted little 8 Bulb DTRL in that lower opening of my 2005 and they really look great coming down the Road at you.
Pretty Bluefin's Silver-Bullet is one of the most Beautiful Jag's in the World and probably close to one of the most beautiful Car's in the World....! WHAT DO YOU THINK?

really - I bought a bluetooth transmitter as well which has a remote as well as voice command and three USB ports. I picked up a nice dual plug in module for the cig lighter and run my dash cam in one and sound in the other. The standard sound system in the car makes the bluetooth sound excellent and it was VERY inexpensive. I went to "Crazy Crazy Audio Sound" and they tried to sell me on a $1000 tear out. I don't think so
Same body kit here but I ordered Wihout the little side scoops on skirts.
I think this kit is the best update for our cars!
I actually never liked the XK8 until I saw the Arden version and when I found Mina sold their body kit, I finally traded my XJS for an 02 XK8.
Loved it so much I've modified every inch! Lol.
I've tried to get headlights like that but no one carries them anymore. Know any one for sale?
Some pics of mine on a recent trip into the mountains of the Picos de Europa in Northern Spain.
And one from a visit to the Fleet Air Museum last year...
... which made it into the XKEC calendar. ;-)
My two dogs usually travel in the back of cars, but when it comes to the Jaguar they both clamour to sit the front. If one does, the other insists on joining her: women, eh!
Wag, been thinking of putting the "Bond" vents on my XK8. Not sure if they are even available anymore. Does the hood have to be cut to install them? Any chance you could post a photo of the inside of the hood/bonnet showing the vents up close?
I can answer about the availability: Adamesh offer them here in the UK. Bond vents
