Recent pic with the Clear Repeaters and Side Marker lens. Taken at Greenbriar Hotel in Lewisburg WV. at British V8 Meet. Beautiful setting and Hotel has the Underground Bunker for Congress & President in case of Nuclear attack.
Jestocost, It looks Black in some of the photos but I'm not sure in the last 2.....So, What color is it?
Billy Clyde in Houston
I say black.
The Jaguar colour code is PED which they call Anthracite Metallic.
The color variations were just different lighting conditions although the first one was edited to black and white.
I just liked the reflections in the hood (or should I say bonnet)

Jestocost, My 2000 XKR Coupe was Anthracite....Loved it! Really is a pretty color, as I remember it had gold flacks, green flacks and even some blue flacks all mixed together....and yes, some people say Bonnet...but in West Texas it's still called a Hood!

When was this meet? I live not too far from Lewisburg, but I didn't hear about this one.
Pat, it was a Brit Car gathering, I've been a part of for 17 yrs. Modified (Big Engines), super chargers, etc. we meet every year in a different location about the country. East of Miss. River is usual location, but Texas, Neb, and Col. have also been locations. Tire kicking and lie swapping is main agenda. Ck British V8.org in the pub section.
Billy Clyde,
Yes, Anthracite is a beautiful, very subtle color. My XJR was Anthracite/Oatmeal and was always getting complements. In fact, that was the color combination I was initially looking for in my XKR.
The XKR is Anthracite/Warm Charcoal and I like it more every day.
Oh, and we call it a hood out here in So Cal too. I was just feeling particularly British that day.
Robaroni, It's a beautiful XK8! I know you are proud of it.....All I have to suggest would be changing-out the Amber Front Side Markers and the Side Indicator Lights with Clear Lens! How much prettier it would be!

PatB: Looking for a place to go? Cars and Coffee tomorrow (6/24) 8 to 11 am in Roanoke. I'm planning to cruise over there. Maybe we'll see you. I think the weather will cooperate!

Hello Bill - just saw this. I have been out of town. Was this part of the Star City Motor Madness ?
2005 xk8 purchased just last week.
I had time today to get the car up on the lift to check out the underside. It is nice to see a good portion of the original money went into the suspension and driveline design, not just the goofy electronics.
Wow, not a drip or leak to be found.
68k miles. Car originally from Newport Beach CA.
Gotthard Pass 10 days ago en route to Italy, Via France, Black Forest and Switzerland. Round trip of 2,400 miles so it has now covered 28.020 miles from new. Italians liked it!!
