Fine by me; they drive just as good and perhaps I've saved some money over the years.
I honestly prefer green over silver or black. EVERY car on the road these days is silver or black. No imagination.

Just out of interest - were all of the other cars on the "wrong" side of the road too?

I love the JRG. Maybe a UK thing with the BRG colour racing heritage of old, but regardless, the green/ivory mix gets my blood pumping.

6 years ago when I was looking to buy an XK, I had no particular colour in mind, and almost bought an azure blue/ivory from Scotland. Black is a personal favourite also, but none around at that time that ticked all my boxes.

Good we aren't all cut from the same cloth....

Smile Jeager and Redeye and the Green Machines!

Hey now! What's this I love Green thing you two have going? I like BRG and I also like Red but my favorite of all is Black! So I bought a Black XKR and because I like BRG & Red, I added a little to the Rocker Panels just so you Guys can't say you don't like my Black XKR!

Now Redeye, I know you like Black but you are like me, you like Green also...
and Christ. It took 3 days to get used to looking to the Right before crossing the Street...So! I'm still not sure which side of the street they were on but it certainly wasn't the same as in Houston....and Christ; they don't put ICE in your Glass to cool down the Scotch! Never could figure that one out? Then to top it off, they kind of look at you funny when you ask for some! Pretty stingy with it even after all that.....

Here's my Black, BRG and Red XKR Coupe......Just trying to cover all the Bases!

Default Thundercat is out of storage and ready to prowl

Made some minor changes over the winter, then just washed her for a weekend drive.

Maybe I´m old style,
a Ferrari has to be red (Rosso Corsa) and
a Jaguar has to be green (British Racing Green).

And now the big question which colour has my Jaguar?

The way I see it is BRG is for sedans and coupes.

RED is for convertibles.

Cool enderle's Blue Convertable!!!

enderle,

Help me understand what all those Buttons are for...The one's on the right-knee cushion of your driver's Seat? Also, what brand are the seats? and what are the 2 gauges for on the windshield Post?

My gauge is a Snow Performance Water/Methanol Controller - Boost Gauge. I use it to set the Boost Pressure where I want the Injector to start-up and it also shows what the Boost Pressure is at any given time....
Thanks!

Buttons (Recaro Ergomed seats, last generation) are for heating, cooling, recline, two lumbar supports, front and back lift. Gauges are charge temperature and boost pressure. I have a chiller killer in the car and like to see how well it is working.

Ice is ok in whiskey. Most times even a need as they taste like poo. Not in Scotch. Scotch tastes fine and should be experienced without ice. No ice, unless you are a softy.

Smile Jeagar, the Drinking Man!!

Jeagar,

You have to learn to like Scotch! That's how bad that stuff tastes at first...Taste like Medicine or something similar....One Sunday in the 60's, several of us Guys went over to a friends home to watch the "Cowboys"....back then you couldn't buy booze on Sundays in West Texas and our Friend didn't have anything but a Bottle of Scotch in the House...We opened it and as I remember the Cowboy's were losing and we continued to sip on that darn stuff....By the Half, it didn't taste so bad anymore and by the time the Game was over....We were all Scotch drinkers.......but We still drink it with Ice unless of course there isn't any!

Can I ask what 'Arden tuning' entails?

I've an upgraded exhaust/intake/interior and (looking on the Arden de website) I can't find anything except the 3 above and removal of the speed limiter.

Do you know how many BHP your running above stock as I'm at 26, which I hope to improve upon slightly with a custom made exhaust manifold this year which may take it to 35. I'd not take it beyond that as IIRC the gearbox wouldn't be able to cope

Question Enderle, the Chilller Killer

Enderle,

I read about your Chiller Killer and just wanted to know if in fact you feel it is worth the Money to HP gain! Have you done any Dyno work with it? and if so, What kind of results are you getting?? About all the You Tube stuff shows is someone measuring the Temp in a Water tank. That makes me assume that cool water is being pumped into the Intercooler system, which I know helps, but how much Help.....After spending how much money?

It appears to take up quite a bit of space....How about sending a Photo showing your set-up? I'm interested in how much space it takes up....Also, do you have a provider that you used to get those Recaro Seats? I've noticed several on the internet and they seem to be mostly Japanese! Where did you find yours?

Hi Mark

I'm not 100% sure, besides from the obvious body kit, she has lowered springs and the speed limiter is removed. I also modified the exhaust, gonna share it soon how I modified it. Regarding the engine itself, I only modified the air intake, opening up the orginal air filter box with an extra 3" tube and remove the original silencers on the stock air intake tube. I regard the original air intake setup to very good, so no need to mess more with that

My view is; If You want serious gain in BHP on this car, best way fwd is to swap the Eaton supercharger to a Kenn Bell type, but this is expensive !

Maybe if it goes well, it can be a sticky! It would be a great place to remember former and lost members before its too late, as well as the new owners to come!!
