Question nielda800and the Black Coupe!

Hey Nielda,

What a Beauty! Wow! I love those Wheels....what Brand or what are they called? They look like they are 20"..... Please tell me more about them and where can I find a set?

Your XK8 looks great and the Paint appears to be (Anthracite Metallic) or Mica....Never could figure out exactly what they called it....As my 2000 XKR was that color...Looked sorta Green with specs of Gold and Blue but basically Black...all had to do with how the light shined on it.....

I want some Wheels like yours!

Hi Billy,
I will check the wheels make later today - I just bought this beauty a month ago from a guy who owned it for past 9 years. All the credits should go to him ( big up Christophe! ) as I had exactly the same reaction the first time I saw it. The suspension has been lowered and new sport exhaust installed, that make this car turn ( young and old ) heads everywhere I go. The paint is green rather than black - sort of british racing green, but brought more up to date. I’m completly new to Jags ( and pretty much maechanics ) but I will continue to look after this baby.

Beautiful coupe nielda800! What springs are you running to get the rear of the car that low? Any rear camber issues or abnormal tire wear?

Smile Nielda800 and the Green Coupe! (Corrected)

Nielda800,

You found yourself one Beautiful XK8 Coupe...What else did the Guy do to it? What about the Front and Grill area? Did he put in a Mesh Grill? How about some more Photos showing us around the Coupe? Just one Photo is not enough for me..... Beautiful Coupe! So far, the best match I've found are the 19" Wheels on a 2016 BMW M5 but they are not a perfect Match, just close! I'm still awaiting the answer you get from the previous Owner!

There is scotch and then there is Scotch!

I only take the single malts. Tastes great! And ice in it is a capital sin.

Default Jeagar, the Scotch drinker!

Jeagar,

You seem to know a lot about Scotch....I've looked all over and can't find where you are from.......Could it be Scotland? Why not give us a break as we may need to come visit you! Apparently, some of my relatives are from there...

One of my Professors use to make the trip during the Summers and toured the Scotch Houses in Northern and Northwest Scotland. He didn't use Ice in his Scotch either.....

A good scotch needs just a wee bit ( less than a spoonful ) of water to release the flavour. There are distinct varieties of scotch generally based on the geographic location of distilling. I like the 'Speyside' malts because they are not too "aggressive" in their taste.

VERY nice coupe nielda800

Took an after work cruise to decompress. Ahhh. And a couple of pics after. Tweaked the contrast and brightness on this one since it was throwing so much light back it washed out the pic.
Dirty but happy!

Hi guys, sorry it took so long but I’m pretty busy lately. So I got some info to share along with additional pictures.
  • Larini club sport exhaust
  • convex mesh grille from Adamesh
  • WSP Italy wheels - Zurigo w648 20”
  • H.R. Federn springs
  • Paint colour HFR (SHERWOOD GREEN PEARL)
like I mentioned earlier, I only had the car for about a month, so at this moment it’s hard to say if the low suspension causes any issues. The tires were new when I bought it. I do hear a bit of knocking noises from the rear susspension and sometimes a squeak from the front so I’ll be looking at sorting it next month.

Cool The Green Machine!!

Nielda800,
It's a beautiful XK8 Coupe! The color is just right and those Wheels really make it! They are beautiful......I'm currently on the lookout for a set of those! WOW!!!

My only compliant is the Black Grill...I know it's taste but I would prefer Chrome.....That would make it perfect for me!

Thanks for the Photos and information! Billy Clyde in Houston

Cool Nielda800 and the Cool Wheels!!

Nielda800,

I've done some research on your Wheels! Andy at Performance Alloys in Ireland tells me that they are made for a 5 Series "Bimmer" and that the WSP Wheel will fit a Jaguar XK8 but they are not Staggered, so I assume they are probably 9"X 20".....He says that there are none in stock, so I should look at other Brands.....The only other Wheel that I found on the Website looked a little like it is called:"Inovit Revolve Black" for 150.78 Pounds.

Apparently, these Wheels are made in Italy and they are "Proud" of them! If you find a Set over there....Please let me know! Looks like I'll have to stick with my Montreal's, as they are staggered

Yes indeed - gorgeous background....

I wonder how far off the asphalt the owner had to drive in order to snap that photo....

Not too far judging from the lack of dust on the paint. Great shot and car, reminds me of this pic with a different rock formation:
