I shared a photo of this a few weeks ago when it didn't look quite like this. When I bought it the front looked like it had been color sanded but not finished. I had a guy come over yesterday and he spent from 8am until 7:30pm and he got it looking much better.
2005 XKR.
Edited out photos for length, but it looked sweet.
CURIOUS - for those cars here that look pretty much perfect in the front, no sand/rock dings/chips, is it a clear bra at work, or is that just the luxury of living in the south where they don't use sand on the roads during the winter?
Are the roads in the south sand free...? I'll move there tomorrow.
CURIOUS,
I assume you are talking about Sanding the Roads because of Snow and Ice!
We don't have much Snow and Ice in Houston....SO! We don't have to sand the Roads! BUT! We do have Hurricanes and such! Maybe, you better think about it for a while!!!
Hi Gents - a couple of photos of my treasured XK8.....
Just cleared an ABS fault. Was the age old problem of the ABS module, crack soldering on main board. Cut open with a thin cutting disc, re-soldered and sealed back together again with black motor motorvehicle windscreen sealant.....fault cleared. What a great fix.. !
That was quite a cute webpage you linked to on the Seven Wonders of Swindon. I visit Stroud quite often, I import high end loudspeakers for recording studios built there. We can get some amazing woodwork for speakers from the all the dashboard craftsmen still in the area. And you are quite close to one of my favorite ancient history sites, Avebury. Much more powerful than Stonehenge to my way of thinking!
Here are a few pictures from a run up to Brighton Ski resort in Utah a couple of weeks ago. She still looks great mixing it with a newer (and much more expensive!) crowd :-)

XKJoe,
JD, That's a beautiful little XK8 Coupe and I love that color....There has been 2 or 3 Photo shots of XK Coupes using that color on the Forum lately....Unfortunately, you didn't show us the Front but that's OK! You can send us another Photo shoot of the Front....
Since you live in the Outback! I thought I would send you a Web Address of this Guy in Scotland....and a photo of something that I think would perk-up the Rear looks of your XK8 Coupe......Check out his Website, as he has all kinds of stuff....I buy stuff from him quite often!
Took a bit of a vacation this last week, went to LA to visit some family and drove back through the Angeles National Forest:
Saw some Route 66 kitsch along the way:
Stopped at our cabin in northern Arizona forest for a few days in the cooler elevation:
All that and passed 90k miles along the way:
About 1200 miles all said and done. Judy the Jaguar took all the curves, elevation changes and ate up the miles like you would expect a great GT car to do.
Plenty of power, smooth ride and timeless great looks, even when covered in a thousand miles of bugs and dirt.
Wow, the first picture says it all. Gorgeous!
I'd like to see a 3/4 rear view photo if you have one.
In Texas that color is definitely a police magnet.

Hi BC, Apologies for the lack of full frontal..! Yes, aware of DCR, as I used to love in Scotland prior to moving to Auzz and prior to owning the XK. I'm unsure about the Crome rear lights, as you have to start cutting out the tin....perhaps one day.
More photos below....enjoy
Light Teal main interior with dark teal carpets, facia and steering wheel.
An rare, but origional Jaguar paint called Aquamarine Mica, which I believe was only an option. offered to new buyers for one year in 1998.
sXKJoe…..Thanks for all the new Photos! The Color is Beautiful and it really brings out the Beauty of the Coupe! The Dash is nice with all the curling grain pattern, wish I had that! As far as the Taillights go and the Chrome trim I was talking about, you can buy that Chrome Trim @ Adamesh's or even Mina Galleries....It's just a chrome piece that folds over the edge of the Lens and creates the Chrome border...There's no cutting to be done and they only cost about $95.00 Bucks'…. Dave has some other ones that replace your Taillights with the newer Lens from the 2003....those have to be cut and a new backing piece has to be put in to hold the new Lens and keep them from leaking.. ….check it out!
