It looks like I am in the older mens group at 74, but driving my XKR makes me feel like a 40 year old again. I have always owned a convertible. When I was 16, I started with a 1949 Oldsmobile 98, then owned the following verts through the years, 1961 MG midget, 1970 Mercedes 280 SL, 1983 Chrysler La Baron, 1985 Maserati BI turbo, 2000 Toyota Solara, 2005 Toyota Solara, and the current 2001 XK8 and 2003 XKR Jaguars. I loved them all, but the XKR is my real love now, except for my wife, and will probably be my last. My wife prefers her RX 400h Lexus, but likes driving with me in the Jags with the top down.

My first Jag but have had a thing for British cars since the beginning.
Quirky: 65 Sunbeam Alpine
Masochistic: 64 Sunbeam Tiger (still have it)
Just plain fun: 03 Mini
After those a sane person would get something boring and German but there is nothing on the road with more presence of an XK.
Understated and elegant, composed but powerful; I just love the lines of the coupe and have never gotten more compliments on any car.

Wow, now you made me remember I'm 55. First Jag at 23, 1980, was a 74 XKE Roadster and I was hooked. Spent all my money and then some. Insurance payment was more monthly then the car payment, LOL. Only one 5 year period since where I didnt own a Jag and Ive owned too many other cars to count.
