58, feelin 28!!
Ya know, it has been great watching people and their perceptions. Started as a car guy in my teens, been a biker all my adult life, at 240 lbs with a long ponytail, people think they have me pegged, but just watching their shocked looks and the, "that your Jag?", ya just gotta love it. Never judge a book by its cover. There are those of us who truly enjoy the "finer" things in life.

46 in a few weeks, but I try not to think about it too much.

Good to see both younger and older guys here.

55 and always turning heads between my 97 xk8 and my HD Fat Boy. Both are sweet rides. I just need to win the lottery to keep them both running at the same time though. Lol!

64. I bought my 98 BRG Coupe 10 years ago, and still think she's the most beautiful car on the road!

Let's just say well over twice 26 and leave it at that. When I'm in the car, though, I'm about 28 and hot as hell!

Now I march to no ones orders except my own and do what I want to do, when I want and don't care what anyone else thinks of me. I have had many cars over the years that I wish I had kept not just because of how much they would be worth now, but because they were so much fun to drive when I owned them. In 2010 I sold my 1967 Dodge Charger that I had owned for 42 years and don't regret it one bit as I believe it was time for it to go to a new home and for me to move on to something different. In 2007 I bought my 2003 Jaguar X-type and still enjoy it, but it's getting a well deserved rest in the garage now since I bought the 1997 XK8 a week and a half ago. I will still enjoy the X-type when we take long road trips since it has a little more room for our luggage etc., plus it gets a lot better gas mileage. The XK8 is my replacement for the Charger and is my fun car. Everyone here locally is really impressed with it since it is the only one in town. They can't believe it's a 1997 and many think it is a new model because of the condition of the body etc. I buy what I want, when I want and could care less about other peoples opinions of me. I don't do things to impress others I could care less what they think. I do things for my own pleasure. I've earned everything that I own or have owned. I owe nothing to any bank and if I have borrowed in the past to buy something it's always been paid back in the shortest amount of time at the lowest interest rate available. In addition to the 2 Jags I own a 1964 Triumph Bonneville T120R which I bought new 48 years ago in Atlanta, GA and have no plans to part with it. I'm 73 soon to be 74 years young and plan to enjoy my toys for a few years more.
As I said in my previous message I've turned 74 now and my wife is 77 we enjoy both of our Jaguars and also our Triumph Bonneville. Of course the XK8 and Triumph are put away for the winter here in Nebraska where it's getting cold now but no snow so far. In the winter we use the X-Type.
I have registered the XK8 for the OReilly's Hot Rod Super Nationals here in Lincoln Memorial Day weekend. I used to attend this event with my 1967 Dodge Charger now I will continue the tradition with the Jag. I attended a couple of local Show 'N' Shines after getting the car last August. I also go to our local Culvers Friday Cruise Nites and get quite a bit of attention. Of course I get a lot of attention too when I ride the 1964 Bonneville especially when people find out that I'm the Original Owner.

As they say in parts of Texas, "good on you." Keep riding and driving. My clock will turn over to 60 in January and I'm looking forward to many more miles in the Jag.

Now if I could just find the guy that bought my 441 BSA quite a few years back, I'd gladly give him double his money back!

My wife has a XK8 Conv. and I have a XK Coupe between us we are 160 years old!!
And I just put new pads on rear of her car (easy except for the dumb spring!)
Can we claim a record? Started in 1960 with XK140 (Coupe of course!)

Cheers, Adrian

Hi all.

Age is just playing with numbers. Much more important is your your mental age which is difficult to measure. But for sure it is important to keep yourself going giving yourself ever new experiences. Getting a new wife is one way, but it`s a lot cheaper to get a Jag. This car will never let you down. You can modify and repair it endlessly, and it will never let your brain slumber for a moment.
A good sense of humor will also keep you young. You can test this by clicking the link below showing the pleasures of winter driving.
Don`t take yourself too serious, nobody else does.
Regards sixtyfive. :icon_santawav ing:
