XK8 3 Piece Mesh Grill
#21
I received a 3 piece in this morning's mail from Mark Jaguar; 18520 Wyandotte St, Reseda, CA 91335 (818-342 0273). It was on eBaY $225 INCLUDING SHIPPING.
It appears to be heavy duty mesh with heavy chrome plating, good rubber surrounds and ample hardware to install. I'm thinking it would look best with the cross chrome oem bar removed and am currently trying to figure out how to remove it with a disaster.

If you get the chrome splinter out in good shape let me know, I might be interested in taking it off your hands for an experimental project I've been thinking about.

Frank try http://www.automotivetouchup.com/paintpen.asp they mixed me a 1/2oz. touch-up paint pen in Jaguar 1850 Sea Foam Green and 1/2oz. pen of clear coat for a total of about $20 and the match was perfect.

Got my car back yesterday, late in the afternoon and she looks pretty good. My power steering isn't working but am taking it to a Jag guy in the morning. they still need to adjust the hood alignment a bit, but overall, everything considered, i'm satisfied and she runs & tracks perfectly!!!

Yes the chrome splinter has to be removed as well as a slight trimming of the bumper on the inside edge, each side to match the grill. You will also need the side plugs for the two grey plastic "bumper" , can't remember what they are called, to fill the holes where the chrome splinter was.
