XK8 Convertable Cover color?
Team
My name is Smokey
I have a 2003 XK8 Convertable.
Thank you for allowing me to join this form.
My question is; When Jaguar produced convertables from the assembly line, they came with a convertable top cover that covered the top while in the down position. How was the color of the cover determined? Did they assign the color by the color of the top, body, or interior.
Thanks in advance

My 2003 XK8 exterior color is black and the interior color is dove. The past owners of my car tell me that the tonneau cover that they lost was black. That didn't make a lot of sense to me because all of the other XK8 convertible as I have seen, have had tonneau covers that match the interior color. That's the real reason for me asking this question. I want to purchase a new tonneau cover oh, but I want to ensure that I'm getting the correct color.

If the OEM tonneau covers are still available from Jaguar, sit down and grab ahold of something before you price them. Way back in February 2012, new ones were $1,200 each (which is ridiculous)....
Excellent-quality new aftermarket ones from clwcruiseco@yahoo.com (phone 619-232-4040) were selling at that time for $239 plus shipping. Several forum members purchased them and reported that they were as good or better than OEM. Cross your fingers and hope these guys are still in business today....
