XK8 Convertible Top Leak.
Hi Everyone!
We've been having a lot of rain in Dallas and I hadn't driven the car for a few days. I've never noticed a leak except for the couple drops on the Car Wash which is not that strange in a convertible.
Mine is a 1999 XK8 Convertible.
I got up today and went to run some errands and I noticed the back of the seat was all the way to the front, so I just straightened it and that was it, I went to do my stuff and I got some drops in my left leg and find out that the carpet was soaking wet on the drivers side, back and front! The seat probably moved because something got wet and made contact!
Before I start to mess around I'd like to ask if anyone has had something similar and how you solved it.
I opened the top enough to see the seals and they look OK, it was fast because the weather is not good to do that this days.
Also I'd like to have the liner cleaned, Any input in how to take it out would be appreciated, I was thinking on having it dry cleaned.
Thanks!!

On the left and right side at the corners of the hood the cowling has a drain that allows the water to flow down the windshield and run underneath the vehicle. Your drivers side drain is probably plugged allowing standing water to get inside the vehicle. The convertible top unless it is torn/ripped should not leak at all. You might want to treat the top with RaggTopp. Try there website for using it.
The headliner can not be easily removed or reinstalled. It is sewn to the supports in the top mechanism. You will need to clean it by hand with fabric cleaner.
