Smile Yay - my knocking CATS shock fixed simply in the end!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! and yes this is shouting out loud with happiness!!!
This was indeed my problem and the hex bolt was tight but I needed to tighten the outer bolt and yep this was my solution, hold the hex still whilst tightening the outer nut - 3 years or more I have been putting up with knocking suspension without finding the root cause.
I am so happy, without this forum and the wealth of knowledge within its members I would have been up the creek without a paddle on more than one occasion!
Just took her out for a test drive and she's quiet and smooth as can be - it actually feels weird as I was so used to the horrible knocking.

Baxter - thanks my friend, it was only out by half a turn!

It was much simpler in the end - merely holding the inner hex head in place whilst tightening the outer nut with a ring spanner - I suffered several years knocking for the sake of a half-turn of a nut!!! Feel a tad silly now but as long as it got me there I'm happy lol.
I was meant to be replying to the other person who gave advice - sorry guys I placed this in the wrong place.

Thumbs up see post 22

see my post 22 above - I was actually trying to reply to you but stuffed it up - it was a much easier fix than I thought it would be LOL
