XK8 Manual?

There are not many, I did a manual XKR engine conversion 12 years ago and dropped it into an XJS, I now have a similar setup on my XK8 track car using a T56.
A friend of mine has an XKR manual and there is the Elite XK8 manual floating around on Ebay quite often, both I advised on.
I never bothered looking into making it a viable product as the expense is simply too much and I could not see a market in it.
To do a conversion you would probably be looking at anything from $10-15K, if you can find a suitably trashed Aston AMV8, take what you need from that and fit it into an XK, still lots of money $$$$
Doing the mechanical is easy, fooling the electrics takes a little more thought and you would need one of Elites little magic boxes to do all the fooling for you. I cheated on my track car and have a stand alone system which I prefer, the original Jag ECU is rubbish and difficuly to remap properly, having a system you can play with as you are driving along is much better, I can even switch between 3 maps whilst on the move held in my ECU.

The screen you can see is linked to a laptop which also is plugged into my ECU, everything can be done on touchscreen
