Default xk8 no headlights

I was driving at night and used the turn signal. Lights flickered and out .
I got home holding the dip switch to flash. No running lights.
Checked all fuses related and relay. The signal still works.Does this sound like the switch is defective?

Was the switch set to automatic mode?
If so you may want to check the daylight sensor and connection located in the mirror assembly. If this goes, it will think it is bright outside and shut down all lights.

Regards,
Steven

There are some thin wires soldered to terminal lugs on the body of the switch stalk that have a nasty habit of braking off eventually.

Disconnect your negative battery cable in trunk for 15 minutes and recconect. Check your lights for partially blown bulbs or water intrusion.

Side marker and running lights do not work. After removing switch i did a resistance
check from logic ground to each pin .All failed except flash and turn signal.Looks like the
switch has come apart inside. Found one on Ebay .Waiting for its arrival .Will post
results.
Thanks Mike

I replaced the switch, problems solved. When it failed I had used the turn signal, lights
started to flicker than out.Made it home by holding the flash feature on.
Thanks for all the help.
Mike
