Default XK8 P1260 Security Input

Hello chaps. Have a question . I own an XK8 2000 with just 41000 km on her.
Driving the car I encounter an engine shutdown , and the additional Engine failsafe message etc... stopped the car , and trying to started again without luck. After 30 seconds it started again only to shut down after few miles and do the same thing. Then normal. Took it to the mechanic and he found a passenger door locking mechanism fail . As well the code P1260 . Security input . At the moment I'm waiting the part , but I don't know if this is the problem for the engine shutdown. Has to do something with the immobiliser as well, don't know. I've checked in other comments, battery is new , car just serviced and body throttle works perfect. Just to avoid answers about those problems . Looks like an electrical issue but... Any ideas or suggestions ? Many thanks to all !!!!

Jeremy thanks a lot. I'll give it a try. Will post anything I'll get from it. Have to replace the lock first. Any other suggestions more than welcome .

P1260 means that the key transponder is NOT RECOGNIZED.
Try another key.
