I bought my 97 XK8 2 years ago for $8000. 88,000 miles, new engine, new tranny rebuild, new front brakes. These model years have engine tensioner problems and your tranny will fail at 85,000 miles. (Ask me how I know.) Search this site for common problems. I'm not saying don't buy the car, just know what to expect.
It took me 2 years to find my car and then about 5 months with the owner to get the right price. I'm really happy with this car!

Google "car color popularity" images and you can see a million charts that show that overall gold and green account for like 5% of all car colors - and there is a reason for that... 80-90% of all cars are white, black, silver, red, gray or blue.

Interesting dialogue about the colors. As I was shopping for my XK8, I held out, quite along time, for a BRG. I assumed because they were traditional Jag colors that folks would hold on to them, but it might be that they dint make many and they're just not popular. Either way, i love mine and love the color, its fitting for such a beautiful, British machine.
