Default XK8 Remote

Was wondering if anyone would have the rubber button pad for a LJA2610AA this remote is for my 99 XK8. The rubber cover on the door open button is about to fall off and glue is not working.

I thought I remembered you could buy those inserts separately from the rest of the remote. Was it on the forum somewhere? Maybe I saw it on the xf, xk, or s-type forum.

I could be wrong, but AFAIK the separate keypad is only available for the newer cars with a smartkey.

I've seen Jaguar replacement rubber buttons for the earlier 2-button type and rubber button pads for the later 5-button type but could never find the 4-button pad when I needed one.

Gus, you want my old remote...the whole thing? Since i converted my flip key fob, the original is unused. I also have a spare, remote+ key, so i wouldnt be shorthanded.

Thanks Matt! I only need the insert but will take what I can get if you have no use for it. Send me a PM and we can work out the details.

Guys, the remote changed physically and electrically in 2000. I do not think this will work. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Here is nice one on ebay for about 50 bucks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Used-Jaguar-...ce8e10&vxp=mtr

It is not. All the buttons are the same size and shape pre-2000. Post 2000 they are different shapes. The inserts are not interchangeable.

Default This glue and pads are working for remote control

Remote Control Keypads - TermaPasty - ART.AGT-021 Google finds from many vendors. In Finland they were ~5 euros a pack of 100pcs
