Xk8 restricted performance

best thing to do is pull any codes it may have left. Could be the coil packs. My car would start fine but after warm and sitting for 30 minutes it would start and run rough for about 20 seconds then idle normally and drive fine. I changed out my coil packs and this fixed the problem. And obd scanner is an invaluable tool to have while possessing one of these cars especially one that will give you live engine readings. Fuel trims coolant temp air temp oxygen sensor readings etc.

You will save the cost of that OBD II Scanner the first time you are able to fix an issue without having to visit the dealer.
Also it appears these cars a very sensitive to proper servicing. Change that air filter, clean out that throttle body air horn, change that fuel filter, clean that MAF sensor and you may avoid the dreaded check engine light and restricted performance warning.
