XK8 Seats need recovering...
Hey Gang!
My seats have had it. An 8" tear at a seam on the passenger side, and I have worn through the leather on the drivers seat from entering and exiting.
Also, enough cracking due to the dry Arizona climate.
Has anyone tried the replacement leather skins that are available on Ebay?
Any other good sources without spending too much?

Haven't tried him myself, but several folks on here say to try Topsonline (Vic's Upholstery?). You can find him on eBay & he has correct fit cover kits for all XK8/R models.
Search him on the forum and you will find many threads.

Website is below. I plan on using them this spring. Everything I have read is positive and my local upoulstey shop says the are good to work with.

I did not buy leatther though.I bought the leater vynle type and you can't tell it isn't leather by sight or feel. Matched the back seat perfectly. It will wear better and won't dry out.Is also just as soft, easy to clean as well. for under $400.00 .

While Bigvettefreak is correct on some points, vinyl is more sensitive to temperature changes than leather. This is important on those 100F plus days. Vinyl seats when they have been in that kind of sun for a few hours will indeed be a "Surprise in Arizona."
...and the Jag deserves leather IMHO.

I've been looking as well and topsonline seems to have the best deal on a kit for the front (both seats -upper and lower cushions and center comsole with extra leather for the cup holder) - $649.00. Have not ordered yet - just finished brakes, rear bearings and new tires. Hydraulic lines coming this week then work on interior
