XK8 tail lights..
My 1998 Xk8 is having brake/signal light problems...
When I use both brake and signal lights together, I get a bulb failure warning, but if I use them independently, everything is O.K.
I changed the bulbs, and they worked for about ten times, and then back to the bulb failure message.....
Any words of wisdom????????
Thanks

Another possibility is a malfunctioning Turn Signal Switch.

Get some spray electrical contact cleaner from Home Depot or Radio Shack and clean the connectors, the bulb sockets and the bulbs.
Also get some GB-Oxgard paste (from Home Depot, Electrical supply store or hardware store) and put it on the bulb socket contacts. This is conductive paste, so apply it sparingly to avoid shorts.
If you still have a problem, then locate the ground studs to the frame of the car in the trunk and clean those up with a wire brush, and put Oxgard on them also.
