I have a 99 XK8 and i need to install the transmission cooler lines and I cant sem to find a way to get them in. Does anyone have a method for replacing them? Thanks in advance
I sprung a leak in one (it was rubbing against the Catalytic Converter) and had to abandon the car in the middle of a road trip. The shop I left her with said it was a real adventure trying to route those things. Even today, with the car on a lift, I can't trace their routes to the cooler and back. There's no doubt that someone in here will be able help you though. Hang in there.
A real shame I replaced my transmission Saturday and had I known I would have looked harder at the hose pattern for you. I will say this that when the cats were dropped it seemed to open up a lot of the area to the left of the trans and if I recall I could see both the lines attached to the coolant tank.
Thanks for the replys. I finally gave up because im out of time and cut off both lines at the fittings, welded an aluminum barbed fitting on each end and put transmission cooler hose in between and routed it away from the exhaust.
Hi. I am thinking about to restore my 1999 XK8 V8 engine. I have found all torque to all parts except crankshaft main bearing. Can anyone help me before I start to put the engine in parts?

I replaced the rear main seal and one of the cooler lines, but the tranmsission need to be out, the cats, and loosen both engine mounts from the bottom. I have an engine lift, it's a pita to get the one on driver side out, I wish I knew how to make a different connection and reroute them, but I did it and it came out, just have to fight it.
Consider this: Many members have had custom hydraulic hoses made in place of the OEM oil cooler lines. One of the advantages they've enjoyed (including price of course) is that they've been able to route the hoses more conveniently than the original lines. The same may be applicable to the Tranny cooler lines as well. I don't own "Kitty" anymore (...sigh), so I can't get under there to check out this possibility for you, but it's an idea you may want to consider.
