XKR - mods done, she's ready for SportCar event in August
Hi Gents & Ladies,
I'm now done with all the planned modifications, maintenance and upgrades,
so she's now ready for the big SportCare event taken place in my hometown Västervik, Sweden on the 19th-20th of August. ref Sportbilsdagen startsida
I like to share with You what I done since I purchased the car in March;
(maybe it can help some other owner or provide some good idea's)
1) new oil and filters
2) replaced the MAF sensor
3) removed the "silencers" from the air intake tube and opened up the original air filter box with a new 3" intake
4) replaced all the old tensioners, chains, waterpump, thermostat, seals and gaskets to new latest ones.
5) added a front rubber splitter below the Arden front spoiler
6) cleaned and "re-painted" the white leather seats
7) replaced the "old" navigator center console to the original 3-gauge cluster
8) replaced the cooling level sensor to a new one
9) replaced the "old" orange indicators and bumpers reflectors to white ones
10) added 10mm spacers front and rear
11) new wheel bolts all around
12) jaguar emblem on center wheel cap +new tire pressure caps
13) supercharged emblem on the rear right
14) V8 emblems below the white side indicators
15) mounted the realgauge engine coolant temperature module
16) replaced all small bulbs to new "led" ones
17) jaguar emblem in the passenger side panel above the glove compartment
18) removed the "spare wheel" + tools from the trunk to save weight
19) painted the brake calipers to red color
20) replaced a lot of cooling hoses to new ones + new clamps
+ a lot of small details I forgot
my wife say's that she can't understand Why all of this was really necessary -LOL
