Lightbulb XKR OEM rear spoiler question

I own a 2005 XK8, and have recently purchased the smaller "original style" OEM spoiler from this company:

1997-2006 XK8 Factory Style Type R Rear Lip Spoiler - DirectCarToys

It is perfectly paint matched. It looks really good out of the box. I'm getting ready to mount it soon. My question is for any of you who have an XKR pre 2005 that has this smaller style factory spoiler (they changed to larger in 2005, I think). How far off the back lip of the car boot should I mount this item? As the lip is curved, perhaps you can measure from the top of the boot lid edge (the edge that meets the back windshield). I appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Hope this is enough for you to triangulate the position.

On a 2003:
25.0 inches tip of the spoiler to tip of boot lid near the glass (both sides)
16 5/8 inches center of spoiler to center of boot lid near the glass

Perfect! Just what I needed. I will post a pic when I'm done.

Installed the spoiler. The only change to the mounting measurements would be the center one---it's actually 18 5/8. But it looks good!

Yes it does look good. As does the XK8 in Gray.

Hey Matt - Where did you get YOUR spoiler from? It looks pretty much factory... and was there a painted option?

Hey Chris, I have a trunk lid spoiler from a 2000 XKR (along with a ton of other stuff) that I will sell, if your interested. It is in great shape and is the silver color, that your car looks to be. It is attached to a trunk lid at the moment.

Regards, Neil

Neil,
Does your "ton of stuff" include a radio with a CD slot ??

Sorry I did not get back with you earlier. No I do not have the 'CD' slot radio. I just have the 'cassette' type radio with the 6 disc changer set up from the trunk. I would imagine your not interested in that.
Thanks for asking though, keep me in mind if you need anything else at all.

Neil
