I may have a leaky thermostat housing in that I smell coolant and it is a very slow leak. Of all the thermostat housing replacements described on this forum, none describe it for an XKR only the XK8. The supercharger pulley has me confused about the procedure. Can anyone help?

Just Drain a little Coolant from the Radiator, unbolt the Housing and replace Thermostat and included Gasket.
However, the Housing is so well designed, I don't know how it could leak.

Thank you Paul! Upon a little more looking, with a brighter light, I found the leak. I wish I didn't. It is below the supercharger nose and is fastened with what looks like torx head bolts. Have any idea what that is? Does the supercharger have to be removed to fix it? I have never been in this part of the engine so I can't visualize what 's in there.
I have been looking at the JTIS and it looks like the area where the coolant pump is located. If that the case I'm in a little luck because I have a new pump sitting next to me. I was going to replace it when I replaced the belts.

Rich, if you have a leak on top of the engine, it could cause a knock sensor problem, if the antifreeze get down into the knock sensor area. I think the last owner of my XKR, had some work done on an antifreeze leak and some of the fluid got on the knock sensors and caused one of them to fail. It is an expensive job to have the knock sensors replaced, so I would advise that you get your leak fixed ASAP. I will know what caused my knock sensor to fail when they replace it and I can check the defective one out.
I was looking at Paul's picture and noticed what looked like a little ware on top of the long supercharger cooling hose. I noticed the same hose ware, only a lot worse, on my XKR. It gets this way by rubbing on the hood liner. The short hose under this one has a thick plastic sleeve over it. I think the top hose should have the same protective sleeve on it and when I get my hose replaced next week I will have them add one to it.
