Based on Michaelh's recommendation I crawled around under the car for an hour and located what I thought was the trans serial number. I'm trying to find out if I need to update the pressure regulator in my trans. The ZF tech support rep informed me that I missed and got the part number laser label instead. He pointed me in the right direction for the ZF tag.

Anyway ... I crawled around under the car for another hour and I can see where the tag is located but its hidden behind a solenoid valve (and my neck is too stiff to move anymore). I tried inspection mirrors and fiddling around with my camera but I can't view the plate to get the serial number from it. I don't have a fiber optic endoscope, nor is one in my future. Does anybody know how to get a picture or what angle to view this stupid plate from?

I tried video but my camera doesn't turn on the flash during video mode. If I can figure out how/where to place a small flashlight maybe I can use the video mode while moving the camera around above the exhaust and grab a shot of the tag.
