Instead of threading this through the Wheel, I hung it upside down in order to make it more difficult for a Thief to pick the Lock.

Old Cage out together with the Wiring, which at this stage looks like Spaghetti as there is so much of it.

Unscrew the Block on the Back of the Cage and it comes off together with all the Wires that you see in the Photo which you no longer need.

I just unscrewed the Wiring Block and cut the White Wire in half (before that other Plastic Block) on the Side of the Cage, which is a noise suppressor.

I used a piece of Chrome Plated Tube in order to lock my 'dodgy damper' in place. Credit goes to 'Jonathan' for such a great idea.

I think the (Black Wire) connects to where you see that bit of Solder that also has a bit of (Black Wire) still in place.

Loads more Leg Room on my 1989 XJS thanks to the Thinner Knee Pad. Making it very easy to get to the Brakes without catching your foot.

This Thicker Under Tray Knee Pad on my 1990 always seems to get in the way of getting to the Brakes!

Loads more room to get to the Brakes in my 1990 with the Knee Pad Under Tray removed but should I put it back?

The Trim Clicks onto the Metal Bar just above the Brake Pedal. Which gets in the way of putting your foot on the Brake Pedal.

On my 1989 XJS there is no Metal Bar or Cumbersome Trim Pad in the Way of the Brake Pedal.

That Trim Panel can catch the toe of even a light pair of Shoes.

It's easy to catch the toe of your Shoe on the edge of the Knee Pad protector when you go to put on the brakes.

When changing from the gas pedal to brake, it seems as if you have to keep the toe of your Shoe in the space and then slide it over from one pedal to the other.

134274
If you don't keep the toe of your Shoe in the space between the pedals and knee pad, then sometimes this happens! Which would not be good in an emergency braking situation.

The lower edge of the Knee Pad is deceptively wide at just over 15mm

Since the edge of this Knee Pad sometimes catches the toe of my Shoe when I brake, I thinking of leaving the Knee Pad off altogether.
