WIth the FIlter removed and the fluid having dripped out overnight, it's time to remove the connector above the filter: I had my S-Type safely elevated on 4 stands and when sliding under the car from the left side I can easily turn off that connector anti-clockwise with my left arm/hand. Removing the X-member there is not required. Your arm fits thru above that X-member.
